Omg look familiar??? Yes everyone is buzzing about michael showing 60s collection with a lot of stripes.... seems we may have a new fresh trend on are hands and of all people to show be called most similar to marc jacobs I certainly didnt expect it to be michaels! Though michaels collections yes was 60s and mod etc but it was more Mad Men woman the working ad agencie woman who looks fab and professional and plays it casual and realexed on the weekends at her suburban home with a fab pool and glorious sunshine, where marcs was more drugs,sex and rock n roll! Michael Kors this season,....DIED..... it was spectacular,classic real 60s american sportswear clean,bright,tailored and fabulously mod also! The brightness was so fab those yellows,greens,reds and blues put such a smile on my face it was just in your face brightness and i loved it! As I said before lots of striped looks and lots of chic mod monochrome work wear! Loved all the major tailored dresses some of which are being worn by michelle obama especially one green,white and black one, also all the sharp fab tailored jackets and coats loved it so classic sportswear with a sort of bright ultra modern take! The last 3 gowns were mod minimalist 60s glamour worn strongly by 3 fab models and really great simple red carpet looks that almost everyone can simply pull off!
It was clean bright and a new fresh take on Michael by taking a little dip into the past of the fab world of chic bright mod 60s living delivering a major collection!

Fur accents and jewel-box ornamentation at the neck (and therefore drawing attention around the face) were everywhere this season in the form of brooches like those at Bottega Veneta, so deliberately placed that it was hard to tell if they were a separate item or part of the dress, fabulous fur collars , and knit snoods that offered the same idea, but for a more downtown clientele.

Lam says his goodbyes to tods!!!!
Derek lam has been a designer on the rise since the start of the 21st century and in 2006 one year after his CFDA fashion fund win he took on his second label tods today it has now been confirmed that he is leaving his post at the company as creative director. Tods never was the most talked about brands it was mainly luxury leather goods which achieved publicity this year with new face of the brand anne hathaway. Derek was never very vocal in this position and quietly designed cute accessories that appealed to the masses he is now leaving the brand after 6 years as creative director!!! A few months ago michael kors made $1.2 billion (£800 million) on the stock exchange after putting his 30 year old company for sale. The $1.2 billion dollars went directly to Michael himself and other business associates and michael still holds the majority shares could it get any better YES!!! Michael plans to make another $25 million on the stock exchange Which can only mean good things for michael. The company at the moment has an estimated value of 3 billion making it one of the largest fashion brands in america but it still has some catching up to do with the european power houses like louis vuitton who has estimated value of $80 billion dollars the richest fashion brand in the world which is run by LVMH who collectively own several top brands like dior,celine etc and are trying to buy hermes. Marc loves the kids
Marc jacobs received quite the backlash when he broke the CFDAS rules and hired two underage models who were just 14! He has spoken out several times defending himself and here are his latest comments he told life magazine "you have child actors and children who model for catalogues, whats the difference between doing commercial for peanut butter and being on a runway" marc makes a good argument and i think there was nothing wrong with him choosing two 14 year olds i love that these girls at just 14 are beautifully enough to walk in a MARC JACOBS SHOW one of the magical highlights of new york fashion they should be celebrated not criticized i would do anything to have walked in that show. Michael kors fall collection was sporty meets glamour which is so michael. The collection had a lot of rugged country looks and glamourous party dresses. There were several rustic red and black plaid looks,fabulous furs(mongolian lamb,raccoon) were to dye for so were the red,black and silver sequence gowns lighting up my eyes as the shimmied down the runway. The color palette focussed manly on red and black very tough colors. There was a very strong and seductive women in these clothes there were the sexy gowns and lace dress and the powerful furs and leathers! it was all about the mesh of sporty and glamour take the knit camel coat over sexy silk dress or the sporty red coat with fur neckline with a red silk gown. Also tailored vest jackets worn with pretty lace dresses. the evening was fabulous it was mostly fab sequence gowns including a two flapper dress one black one gold and the other were gowns fit for any car nominee!!!
